The ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 Incubation Programme is a flagship initiative under the National Agriculture Innovation Fund (NAIF) aimed at strengthening India’s agri-startup ecosystem through the ICAR Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ABIC) Network.
Building upon the success of the first edition, ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 adopts a Hub-and-Spoke model, connecting all 50 ICAR Agribusiness Incubation Centres across the country to provide coordinated incubation, mentoring, technology validation, and business development support to innovative agri-startups.
The programme is designed to identify, nurture, and accelerate startups with high-growth potential by offering structured online incubation, expert mentoring, entrepreneurial capacity building, and access to ICAR’s scientific and technological expertise. Through regional outreach and sector-specific guidance, ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 aims to foster innovation, commercialization, and sustainable growth in the agriculture and allied sectors.
