Skill Development in Biofertilizer Application and Compost Technology
Objective:
- To popularize application of Biofertilizers for crop production among the farming community.
- To impart training on compost technology for rapid biodegradation of agri-residues.
Outcomes of Training:
It is imperative to create mass awareness on the use of good quality biofertilizers along with recycling of agri-residues for developing skilled personnel for precise composting technology for rapid biodegradation of agro-wastes. Besides this, the latest knowledge about different types of biofertilizers will make the end-users more confident in its mass application for sustainable agriculture.
After completing this training, trainees will have hands-on experience on different types of biofertilizers, their application protocol; composting technology and visiting a production site will also be included in the training for participants to widen their horizon and provide information about layout and general operations of a compost manufacturing plant and biofertilizer production process. Training on production and use of microbial inoculants, compost and vermicompost and their use in organic farming can play a crucial part in translating the new production technologies into practical alternatives for sustainable agriculture.
