Program Name: Seed production, testing and storage in field and vegetable crops

The training programme on seed production, testing and storage is designed to provide in-depth knowledge in quality seed production to personnel who are involved in seed development and quality control programme and stakeholders of seed industry.  The training programme will build capacity of the participants in the areas related to seed production, processing, testing, certification and quality control.

Objectives:

• To strengthen the skills and knowledge of officers, executives and managers in the area of quality seed production
• To demonstrate the various seed testing methods including field and lab based for seed quality assurance
• To bring awareness about the opportunities and challenges in see certification and quality control
• To bring an understanding of post-harvest, handling and management of seeds
